ELIGIBILITY
Here are the eligibility criteria for the students who want to appear in the CUET examination UG program -
• Students who have passed their 12th standard or any equivalent examination or are appearing in 2022 irrespective of their age are eligible to appear for the CUET exam 2022 for undergraduate (UG) program. But, apart from it is necessary for candidates to fill in their legal age in the forms as it will be specified by a particular University to which the students wish to apply.
• There is no fixed age group for students to apply for CUET (UG) 2022
• Their will be some specific policies set by the universities in regards of their qualification, reservation, subject combinations any many more. Students will have to follow the Universities guidelines for admission into these Centralized universities through CUET (UG) – 2022. Students must read all the eligibility criteria’s carefully before applying for their specific universities.
• Students have to fulfill all the specifies criteria for the program laid down by the Universities they wish to apply for.
Scheme and Exam Pattern of CUET exam (UG) 2022 –
Here is the Examination pattern for CUET program –
• CUET will be an Online Exam that is a Computer Based Test (CBT).
• The whole question paper will be a Multiple-Choice Question (MCQs) based format.
• The total no of marks allotted for each section is 200 and all the questions will carry 5 marks each. If there is any kind of negative marking then 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer
The CUET exam is divided into 3 main sections, which are –
• Section 1A – 13 marks Languages
• Section 1B – 20 marks Languages
• Section II – 27 Domain specific subjects
• Section III – General Test
Important Points to remember for CUET (UG) – 2022
1. Students can opt for any Language/Domain specific Subjects/General Test or a combination as per the requirements of the course in their specific University.
• Section IB has to be attempted only if student want to join a degree programme in any one (or more) of the 20 languages
• Section II will test Students in the core subjects that they wish to pursue.
• Section III is not compulsory. Students need to write this test only if it is a requirement for the degree programme they are applying to.
2. The choice of Tests/Subjects depend on the course/s chosen by the students and the University/ies where admission is sought. A student can take a maximum of 9 tests in the following manner.
• Maximum of 2 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together, maximum of 6 Domain Subjects from Section II and General Test from Section III. OR
• Maximum of 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together, maximum of 5 Domain Subjects from Section II and General Test from Section III.
3. Students should select those Domain Subjects that they have already studied in class 12. In case a particular subject is not there in the CUET Domain Subject list, then candidates can choose a subject that is most similar to what they have studied in class 12.
In order to opt for Languages, domain-specific Subjects and General Test, the Candidate must refer to the requirements of his/her intended University.
• Remember – It is not mandatory for any one to take all of the mentioned tests stated above. The choice of the tests will depend on the courses opted by the students and the universities requirements for admission process.
Medium of Examination:
Students can choose about any medium of examination while filling in the examination form online. The CUET offer 13 languages apart from the “Language” test and students can choose any 1 language from the given list below -

Duration of the Exam:
The exam will be conducted in 2 slots per day as per the schedule released by the NTA. Details of the duration and exam timings are given below.

Note:
• * Total duration will vary based on students’ choice of sections in the given slot.
• PwBD Students will be given compensatory time of 15 minutes for 45 minutes examination and 20 minutes for a one-hour examination.
• Slot 1 (morning shift): In slot 1, a Students can take up to 4 tests only (One Language from Section IA, a maximum of two domain-specific Subjects from Section II and One General Test from Section III).
• Slot 2 (afternoon shift): In slot 2, a candidate can take up to 5 tests as follows:
• One Language from Section IA & IB and a maximum of four domainspecific Subjects from Section II, or
• Two Languages from Section IA & IB and a maximum of three domain-specific Subjects from Section II.
